Stephen Keefe, MD

Facial Plastic Surgeon, Otolaryngologist

My name is Dr. Stephen Keefe, and I am a board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic surgeon. My patients consistently comment on my ability to make them feel comfortable and at ease; the physician-patient partnership – a key to achieving my patients’ desired results - has won me numerous awards over the 12 years I practiced in Las Vegas and 15 years I have practiced throughout the Shenandoah Valley. I now practice on The Peninsula of Hampton Roads, Newport News, and Williamsburg, where I live with my wife of 40 years, Carey, so that we can be closer to our grandchildren.

I encourage patients to ask questions, empower them to make decisions with confidence, take time to educate them on all the options available, and strive to ensure realistic expectations and outcomes match up.

I have a passion for helping patients achieve their goals for a more natural, refreshed appearance by utilizing all the tools now available to surgeons and physicians. While many practices have added cosmetic lasers to their treatments and procedures lists, my patients can rest in the knowledge that for over 25 years I have been on the cutting edge of innovation and technique in the field of lasers as part of an integral team of surgeons adapting radio-frequency lasers to the field of head and neck surgery. My technique has been filmed and distributed to surgery centers nationwide; I have also authored safety protocol for the use of lasers in outpatient surgery centers for US Surgical Partners and Catholic Healthcare West.

In addition, as one of the first ENT doctors selected nationwide, I trained on newly-developed instrumentation for use in sinus surgery called Balloon Sinuplasty, which I then adopted for in-office use and is now considered the standard of care for the treatment of chronic sinus problems.

I maintain a philosophy of “if it doesn’t look natural, it doesn’t look good” for each and every cosmetic patient. I provide everything including traditional facelifts, LA Lifts (face/neck/eyelids/brow lifts done without using general anesthesia), rhinoplasty, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, skin rejuvenating laser procedures, Botox, fillers, and injectables. By combining various treatments, staging, and planning for the best result, I’m able to achieve natural-looking, personalized results for my patients.
